We collect your mobile number specifically to confirm that you are a genuine customer and to reach you about your order — that is the purpose of the OTP verification step. The number is not used for unrelated marketing without your consent.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data only to: process and deliver your order; issue invoices; handle returns and replacement requests; maintain transaction records for accounting, tax and legal compliance; and prevent fraud.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with: payment processors (to complete your payment), courier and logistics partners (to deliver your order), and government or law-enforcement authorities where required by law.
3. Data Retention
We retain your order and transaction data for as long as reasonably necessary to complete the transaction, respond to any dispute or return request, and meet our accounting and tax record-keeping obligations under Indian law (generally up to 8 years for financial records, as applicable tax law requires). Data collected for an enquiry that does not result in an order is retained only as long as needed to follow up with you, after which it may be deleted or anonymised on request.
4. Your Rights — Access, Correction & Deletion
You have the right to: ask what personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct inaccurate data; and request deletion of your personal data, subject to our right to retain what the law requires us to keep (for example, completed-transaction records for tax purposes).
To exercise any of these rights, email support@sellyourgadget.shop or contact our Grievance Officer (Section 7) from your registered mobile number. We will respond within 48 hours and act on valid requests within 30 days.
